Lecithin is found in every living cell, with its highest concentrations in the body in the vital organs – brain, heart, liver and kidneys. Lecithin plays an important role in nourishing brain cells. In the brain, lecithin is transformed into acetylcholine, a vital compound for the transmission of nerve messages. Lecithin breaks up cholesterol so that it can be transported easily through the blood; this promotes heart health. It also contributes to the metabolizing of saturated fats found in the liver, which reduces the possibility of liver degeneration. Lecithin is often used as an effective adjunct in treating eczema, dermatitis and obesity. Trophic Super Lecithin capsules contain 1250 mg of pure liquid lecithin, plus Vitamin B2, Vitamin B6, Calcium and Magnesium. Calcium compensates for the high phosphorus content of lecithin. Magnesium and Vitamin B6 aid in the assimilation of lecithin and the absorption of calcium. Vitamin B2 is added to maintain appropriate levels of this vitamin, as Vitamin B6 may cause a deficiency of Vitamin B2.
